Editing User Data Guide
My mobile number is not correct? Can you change my title? There are a few ways to edit data on your signature. Choosing the correct method depends on your account setup.
Best Practices for Editing Data
- Auto-Sync is turned ON, and the users data CAN be edited in the directory > Edit the directory and run a forced sync.
- Auto-Sync is turned ON, but the users data CANNOT be edited in the directory > Edit the data in Opensense Users & Compliance and break the sync.
- Auto-Sync is turned OFF > Edit the data directly in Opensense Users & Compliance. This can be done individually or in bulk.
- No data is in Opensense Users & Compliance > Send the user your MySig link to edit their signature block themselves.
What always works
If you are confused about how to edit data on a signature, it will always work to Edit the field in Users & Compliance, lock it and break the sync. Find the steps here.

The reason that we don't recommend this first is that after the sync is broken, this data can only be edited manually from now on. An account runs best in the long term when the data source is consistent.
