# Cloning a Signature

Cloning a signature allows you to quickly create variations of an existing signature without starting from scratch. This feature copies everything from signature parameter fields and reply templates to text templates and more, enabling easy adjustments for different roles and departments. By cloning, you save time and maintain consistency across multiple signatures.

You can perform this action on the signature cards in **Designer Studio** or via the **"Actions"** menu on the **Signature Editor** page.

## Getting started

To clone an existing email signature, navigate to the [**Designer Studio**](https://app.opensense.com/beta/signatures/studio) inside the **Signatures** section of the navigation pane.

## Cloning via signature card

Each signature card includes an actions menu accessible via the **"···"** button in the upper right corner.

To clone a signature from the **Designer Studio** page, choose **"Clone"** or **"Clone to Domain"** from the dropdown menu.

To clone a signature from the **Signature Editor** page, open the "**Actions"** menu and choose **"Clone"** or **"Clone to Domain"** from the dropdown options.

## Cloning options

We offer two ways to clone a signature, allowing flexibility based on where you need the new signature to appear:

- #### Clone

Use this option to create a copy of a signature within your current account. This is ideal when you need a quick variation for another user, role, or department within the same account, keeping all settings and templates consistent.
- #### Clone to Domain

Select this option to copy a signature to a different account under your domain. This is useful when you need to replicate a signature across multiple accounts, maintaining brand consistency and compliance across your organization.

## Using Clone to Domain

To start cloning a signature to another domain, select **"Clone to Domain"** from the actions menu. This will open the clone modal, allowing you to specify the target domain and any additional details needed for the clone.

Once you select the domain and name the cloned template, click “**Clone Signature**”.

## Validate Clone to Domain

- Once the clone has been completed, navigate to [Domains](https://app.opensense.com/beta/manage/domains) under Manage.
- Locate the domain you want to validate.
- In the upper-right corner, click the "**···**" (ellipsis) button.
- Select “**Manage Domain**”
- Navigate to the [Designer Studio](https://app.opensense.com/beta/signatures/studio) to confirm the clone was successful.
