Instead of creating a new signature template for each department, consider using department fields to customize the signature. You can also insert images into the signature as department fields. ## Uses for department fields - Sub-brand logos - Sub-brand social media icon links - Department-wide phone numbers, addresses, or fax numbers - Links to webinars specific to a department ## Setup The signature template is set up with fields. For all members of the department, the field data comes from the department fields. This is because department fields have a [higher priority](https://help.opensense.com/docs/field-data-priority-with-department-fields) than user Compliance fields and the data in the signature block. This example shows the four parts, from the department's fields to the signature recipients see. The template uses [hidden fields](https://help.opensense.com/docs/hidden-fields-new-liquid-templates) for the department fields.
