# Hidden Fields (NEW! Liquid Templates)

This is our current template syntax **as of 2022**. If you are not familiar with/used to this format, please check out our legacy template article [Hidden Fields (Pre-2022 Legacy)](https://opensense.document360.io/docs/hidden-fields-pre-2022-legacy)

## Uses for Hidden Fields

- Shortened signature block
- Image links (I.E. headshots)
- URL links (I.E. meeting links)
- Badges and awards

## Setup

In **Designer Studio, locate Settings & Fields**. Check the **Hide box** next to the field that you would like to hide
Hidden fields should **always** be setup as [conditional fields](https://opensense.document360.io/docs/conditional-fields-new-liquid-templates). At least one field must be unhidden, most common "name"

For this example, the customer used hidden fields to create a shortened signature block. The hidden data is being pulled from [Compliance](https://opensense.document360.io/docs/manual-sync-of-a-csv-file)
