How to Configure SAML 2.0 for Opensense with Okta

Enabling SAML requires help from your Opensense support team.   Email help@opensense.com or your account manager for assistance.

Feature Overview

The Okta/Opensense SAML integration currently supports the following features:

  • SP-initiated SSO

  • IdP-initiated SSO

Configuration steps

  1. In Okta, select the Sign On tab for the Opensense SAML app, go to Sign on methods > SAML 2.0 > Metadata details, and then locate and copy your Metadata URL.

  2. Contact the Opensense help desk or your account manager and send them the Metadata URL.

  3. Opensense will setup your metadata and coordinate testing with your team.

Service Provider (SP) Initiated flow

Your users can login either from the Okta applications panel (IdP Initiated) or by visiting accounts.opensense.com, typing in their email address, clicking Next and then click on the “Okta” button.

Notes

Opensense can customize the login button to be your own custom logo and can change the label to your own branded text.
