Setting up Okta single sign-on (SAML)
Overview
Section titled “Overview”This article shows how to configure SAML 2.0 for Opensense with Okta. The Okta and Opensense SAML integration currently supports these features:
- SP-initiated SSO
- IdP-initiated SSO
Configuration steps
Section titled “Configuration steps”- In Okta, select the Sign On tab for the Opensense SAML app. Go to Sign on methods > SAML 2.0 > Metadata details, and copy your Metadata URL.
- Send the Metadata URL to the Opensense help desk or your account manager.
- Opensense sets up your metadata, and coordinates testing with your team.
Signing in with Okta
Section titled “Signing in with Okta”Your users can sign in in either of two ways:
- From Okta (IdP-initiated)
- From the Okta applications panel.
- From Opensense (SP-initiated)
- Go to accounts.opensense.com, type your email address, select Next, and then select the Okta button.
Customizing the sign-in button
Section titled “Customizing the sign-in button”Opensense can customize the sign-in button with your own logo, and can change its label to your own branded text.
