# Web-safe fonts (legacy templates)

## Overview

We recommend web-safe fonts for your signature templates. Many fonts are trademarked or platform-specific. A web-safe font makes sure your signature template displays consistently across all devices and platforms.

For example, Calibri is a popular font, but it's owned by Microsoft, and it doesn't display on Apple devices that don't have Microsoft Office installed. Microsoft 365 apps now use Aptos as their default font, and Aptos isn't web-safe either.

## Web-safe fonts

- Arial
- Arial Black
- Book Antiqua
- Comic Sans MS
- Courier New
- Georgia
- Impact
- Tahoma
- Times New Roman
- Trebuchet MS
- Verdana

These fonts display consistently across most email clients and devices, including Outlook, Outlook for Mac, Outlook on the web (formerly Outlook Web Access), Gmail, Apple iPhone, Google Android, HubSpot, and more.


## Fallback fonts

If you want to use a font that isn't web-safe, we set a fallback font, in case the recipient's email client doesn't support your primary font.
