# What is the Opensense Signature Block?

Opensense email signatures are designed to be dynamic, consistent, and platform-aware. Whether you're using Google Workspace (G-Suite) or Microsoft Office 365, our system uses special **tokens** to determine how and when your email signature is inserted. These tokens act as containers for fields—such as name, title, phone number, and more—that are automatically populated based on each user's profile and the selected template.

At Opensense, the patented plain-text block is enclosed within specific tokens to identify the platform:

- **G-Suite Users:** `[[+]]`
- **Office 365 Users:** `[[#]]`

These tokens wrap the **fields**, which are dynamic placeholders that get populated with the correct values when an email is sent. A typical signature might include fields like:

### Save Your Signature Block Where You Send Email

Any application that routes email through your corporate mail server will transform the signature block. This includes an endless list of applications like:

- Gmail
- Apple Mail
- Salesforce
- HubSpot
- Mobile Phone Apps

### Copy. Paste. Save. Use.

If the signature block does not transform, the application you are using is not being routed through your corporate mail server.
