Article Summary

Background

All Opensense customers will need to add the following DNS entries (CNAME and SPF) to their external as well as internal DNS (if applicable). Adding the CNAME and SPF record enables brand continuity and improves deliverability for your domain. This is typically managed by an IT administrator.

How to Update the DNS Record

  • CNAME - (New entry)

smart POINTS TO whs.sendergen.com

smart will be the record name; whs.sendergen.com will be the domain name of the record.
  • SPF TXT - (Modification to existing DNS TXT entry)

include:_spf.sendergen.com

The underscore is IMPORTANT! This include statement needs to be added to your existing SPF TXT record. The record will start with v=spf1 (i.e. v=spf1 include:_spf.google.com include:_spf.sendergen.com ~all)
