CNAME Record (New Entry)

Opensense asks customers to create a CNAME Record within their DNS. 

Why This Is Important

  • Consistent brand presentation across emails.

  • Support for Opensense's email signature and tracking infrastructure.

The CNAME record is described as follows:

Record Type

Host/Name

Points To / Value

CNAME

smart

whs.sendergen.com

Instructions

  • Create a new CNAME record where:

    • smart is the subdomain/host.

    • whs.sendergen.com is the target domain.

They create the CNAME using this interface

The interface above allows a customer to toggle the Cloudflare proxy ON or OFF.  The Opensense CNAME should have the proxy setting OFF.
