Overview
The Opensense Outlook Add-in is supported in Microsoft 365 environments using Exchange Online with Outlook clients that meet specific version and deployment requirements. This article outlines supported platforms, version prerequisites, and unsupported environments.
GCC High environments are supported. See Opensense Add-in Integration with GCC High Environments for requirements and configuration details.
General requirements
All of the following conditions must be met to deploy and use the Opensense Outlook Add-in:
Mailbox hosted on Exchange Online (Microsoft 365).
User licensed through Microsoft 365 or Office 365.
Outlook client supports Centralized Deployment for add-ins.
Outlook version meets or exceeds the minimum supported builds listed below.
Outlook clients support Office JavaScript API v1.10 or later. Some features require v1.13, available on Microsoft 365 subscriptions only.

Supported platforms
Windows
Classic Outlook for Windows: Version 2104 (Build 13929.20296) or later. Must be Click-to-Run. MSI-based installs are not supported.
New Outlook for Windows: Requires Windows 10 Version 1809 (Build 17763) or later with a Microsoft 365 account connected to Exchange Online. New Outlook updates continuously and has no minimum build requirement.
macOS
New Outlook for Mac: Version 16.38.506 or later.
Legacy Outlook for Mac is not supported.
Mobile
Outlook for iOS: Version 2.75.0 or later. Must be connected to Exchange Online.
Outlook for Android: Version 2.2.145 or later. Must be connected to Exchange Online.
Web
Outlook Web Access (OWA): Fully supported in modern browsers with a Microsoft 365 mailbox.
Unsupported environments
On-premises Exchange (the add-in is not supported, but Opensense supports on-premises Exchange via ExSBR by MessageConcepts — contact help@opensense.com for details)
POP and IMAP accounts
Volume-based licenses (Office 2016, 2019, 2021 — these do not support the required API version)
Legacy Outlook for Mac
MSI-based Office installs that do not meet version and deployment requirements
Deployment requirements
The add-in must be deployed via Centralized Deployment, which is supported in most Microsoft 365 tenants. Microsoft provides a compatibility checker at the link above if you are unsure whether your organization meets the requirements.
