Overview
This article lists the supported platforms, Outlook client versions, and Microsoft 365 requirements for the Opensense Outlook Add-in. Confirm that users meet all requirements before deploying or troubleshooting the add-in.
GCC High environments are supported. See Opensense Add-in Integration with GCC High Environments for requirements and configuration details.
General requirements
All of the following conditions must be met to deploy and use the Opensense Outlook Add-in:
Mailbox hosted on Exchange Online (Microsoft 365). On-premises Exchange is not supported for add-in deployment.
User licensed through a supported Microsoft 365 or Office 365 plan (see license requirements below).
Outlook client meets or exceeds the minimum supported version listed below.
Outlook client supports Office JavaScript API v1.10 or later. Some features require v1.13, available on Microsoft 365 subscriptions only.
Subscription directory is in or federated to Microsoft Entra ID.

To enable the New Outlook interface on Mac: open Outlook, then go to Outlook menu > New Outlook and confirm the toggle is on.

Volume-licensed Office (Office 2016, 2019, 2021 LTSC -- these do not support the required API version)

License requirements
Users must have one of the following supported Microsoft 365 or Office 365 licenses. The add-in is deployed through Microsoft AppSource via Integrated Apps, and not all plans include AppSource access.

Deployment requirements
The add-in is deployed via Microsoft 365 Integrated Apps using Centralized Deployment. Centralized Deployment is supported in most Microsoft 365 tenants. Microsoft provides a compatibility checker if you are unsure whether your organization qualifies.
Nested groups are not supported for add-in scoping. Users must be members of a top-level group.
The admin deploying the add-in must have Global Administrator or Exchange Administrator permissions.
