Overview
The Opensense Outlook Add-in visual preview gives assurance to end users that the signature is being applied, but has limitations, including banner targeting, lack of advanced analytics, limited third-party platform compatibility, and signature modifications. Understanding these constraints ensures proper setup and functionality.
Opensense operates within the parameters of Microsoft’s Outlook add-in. Any limitations are a result of those Microsoft-defined constraints, not the Opensense platform.

Banner Targeting
Sender-based routing is supported in full visual preview.
Note: Recipient-based targeting is not supported due to Outlook add-in limitations.
Visual Banner Analytics Tracking
Basic analytics (views and clicks) can be captured if coded correctly into the HTML.
Note: Advanced analytics (e.g., banner clicks/views) are not tracked.
Signature Modifications
Users can manually edit the signature (fonts, sizing, information) before sending, and these changes will not be blocked.
This poses a risk to branding and compliance since modifications bypass Opensense servers.
Reply and Forward Signatures
Visual preview signatures allow either:
One consistent template for all replies/forwards.
A designated reply template applied to all reply/forward actions.
A full signature on the first reply is only possible when using our routed solution.
Platform Compatibility
The Opensense Outlook Add-in can only support Microsoft Outlook. It does not work with third-party platofrms such as Outreach, Salesloft, or Salesforce.
Use standard routed mail flow integrations for third-party platforms.
Rendering Considerations
No direct CRM integration—signatures and banners do not dynamically adjust based on CRM-driven logic.
Different versions of Outlook may alter formatting, blocking certain elements or changing appearance in the compose window.
