Overview
The Opensense Outlook Add-in visual preview gives assurance to end users that the signature is being applied, but has limitations, including multi-recipient targeting, lack of advanced analytics, limited sales platform compatibility, and dynamic fields applying based on the last recipient added to your email. While inline images are supported, they may fall back to hosted URLs depending on the email client. Understanding these constraints ensures proper setup and functionality.
It is important to understand that these limitations are not due to Opensense, but rather to Microsoft limitations, as the Outlook add-in is a Microsoft product.
Multi-Recipient Targeting
Banner targeting applies only to the last recipient in the "To" field when composing an email.
Dynamic Opensense fields (e.g., sgrecipient, sginternal, sgexternal) are limited to the last recipient added.
Enabling Dynamic Fields may conflict with the other add-ins, causing multiple signatures to be applied.
Visual Banner Analytics Tracking
Advanced analytics (e.g., banner clicks/views) are not tracked.
Basic analytics (views and clicks) can be captured if coded correctly into the HTML.

Signature Modifications
Users can manually edit the signature (fonts, sizing, information) before sending, and these changes will not be blocked.
This poses a risk to branding and compliance since modifications bypass Opensense servers.
Reply and Forward Signatures
A full signature on the first reply is only possible using stamping or plaintext block.
Visual preview signatures allow either:
One consistent template for all replies/forwards.
A designated reply template applied to all reply/forward actions.
Platform Compatibility
Opensense only supports Microsoft Outlook. It does not work with Outreach, Salesloft, or Salesforce.
Use standard routed mail flow integrations (stamping or plaintext block) for third-party platforms.
Centralized Deployment Limitations
Microsoft does not support nested groups for deploying the add-in.
Centralized Deployment only works for users in top-level groups or groups without parent groups.
Rendering Considerations
No direct CRM integration—signatures and banners do not dynamically adjust based on CRM-driven logic.
Email clients may alter formatting, blocking certain elements or changing appearance in the compose window.
