Article Summary

The signature block consists of fields that fill in a signature template, providing flexibility. Modify the field data to alter the resulting signature!

Editing the fields in your Opensense signature follows the same process you have always used to edit your email signature in the past.

Fields must be unlocked to have the below capabilities. If you try to edit your signature and it does not change, your company's Opensense admin has enforced the directory value.

One Time Edit

If your fields are unlocked, you can easily edit your signature from the compose window. Simply change the data in the fields to change your transformed signature.

In this example, the user doesn't want to send her mobile number on a certain external email. She deletes her phone number within the compose window.

Permanent Edit

To permanently change your field data:

  • Edit the signature in signature settings, and save it.
  • You can make this update on any email apps you use. Outlook, Gmail, mobile apps, etc.
