Email Signature not matching on Desktop and Mobile devices?
Why is this happening?
Your email signature's appearance can vary depending on the device and email client you're using. Below are some effective ways to optimize your email signature for mobile viewing.
Best practices for a mobile-friendly signatures
- Choosing the Right Width: Desktops and laptops usually display email in landscape mode, which accommodates wider signatures. Mobile devices are often used in portrait mode, and can be more restrictive. As a best practice, we aim for a signature width of 300-500 pixels. If you need a bit more space, going up to 600 pixels is generally safe.
- Be Mindful of Image Sizes: If your signature includes images, their size can significantly impact how your signature appears. Keeping images appropriately sized will ensure that your signature looks its best on all devices.
- Consider Text Wrapping: Longer lines of text, like addresses or disclaimers, can stretch out your signature. Allowing text to wrap to the next line will help your signature fit neatly on mobile screens without looking distorted.
