Pusher makes updating your email signatures, banners, and appending custom HTML easy across platforms like Google Workspace, Outreach, Salesforce, and more. By following the steps below, you can ensure consistency across all your tools. If you are a Microsoft 365 customer, please refer to the How Does Opensense Work with Microsoft 365 article.
Note: You must have the Domain or Signature role in Opensense. Please contact your Opensense admin if you need additional roles.
Push to Google for Alias Accounts
Opensense can push signatures to alias accounts. Just include alias addresses in your CSV like primary accounts. A secondary signature will appear in Gmail settings for the alias, and Opensense will usually auto-assign it through the API. While Gmail may block auto-assignment for replies or forwards, new email signatures are almost always set correctly. Be sure to double-check both new messages and replies/forwards to confirm the right signature was applied.
Pusher Ready CSV
Contact the Opensense Helpdesk for assistance in preparing a CSV that is ready for the pusher tool. Be sure to provide the list of usernames (the portion before the “@” in each email address) for all users who will receive the push.
Creating a New Push
Navigate to Pusher within the Signatures section of the sidebar navigation.
Click the New Push button on the upper right to get started.

Pusher – Push History page with the New Push button highlighted.
The New Push modal will walk you through each step, gathering the necessary details based on your selections.

Pusher – Configuration screen for selecting Push Type and Push Action.
Push Types
Signature
Pushes the required elements directly into your signature settings.
Banner
Sends only the banner asset, without attaching a full signature.
Append HTML
Inserts additional HTML code into certain applications. This is not commonly used.
Find & Replace
Uses a regular expression to locate specific formats within the current signature and replace them. This is not commonly used.
Push Actions
Update
Supplies updated information from Opensense for the email signature.
Delete
Removes any data inside the current default signature called MySignature that was previously pushed by Opensense.
Signature Overview

Pusher – Signature screen showing Signature Type, Template selection, and Plain Text block.
Signature Type
Plain Text
Pushes the Opensense patented plain text block, which then triggers a mail flow rule. When an email is sent, the rule routes it through Opensense to apply a polished, compliant, and beautifully branded signature.
Visual Preview
Pushes fully rendered HTML into the user’s signature settings, but does not sync with source-of-truth updates and allows for manual edits. Only recommended for push to Google; all third-party apps require the plain text block for consistent placement.
Signature Template
Plain text
Selecting a signature template imports the required fields for the push. The actual signature users receive is determined by the Routing section once mail flows through Opensense servers.
Visual Preview
This option is ignored. The fully rendered HTML that is pushed is determined by the user’s assignment in the Routing section.
Data Source Overview

Pusher – Data Source screen showing data source and parsed preview table.
Source
Choose how user data will be provided. Options include:
Manual Entry
Enter CSV-formatted data directly into the field.
Every column/data piece will be separated with a comma (image 3).
Upload Spreadsheet (CSV or Excel)
Upload a CSV file containing user records.
Requires CSV-formatted data with column headers (e.g., username, name, title, email, phone). Each row represents a user record.
Group Exclusions
Optionally exclude specific Google Groups from the push.
Upload Spreadsheet (CSV or Excel)
Reveals when selecting Upload Spreadsheet (CSV or Excel)
Choose a CSV file from your computer to upload.
CSV
The preview table (see Pusher – Data Source screenshot) displays the parsed data. In this example, the record for Jane Doe, Director of Marketing has been successfully imported.
If there is an issue, the preview table will go red (see Pusher – CSV Validation screenshot) and won’t be able to proceed until corrected.

Reminder: For help preparing a Pusher-Ready CSV, contact the Opensense Support team with a list of users you would like to push to. Because cleanup is often required, this is not fully documented here.
Review Overview

Pusher – Review screen displaying parsed user details before finalizing a push.
Review
The Review page displays the data that will be pushed before the action is finalized.
If multiple users are included, the page will show a list you can click through to spot-check each record.
Push Overview

Pusher – Push screen showing available destinations and Email Signature Reminder option.
Push
The Push page (see Pusher – Push screenshot) displays all available destinations configured for your domain. Gmail and third-party apps appear as push options. At the bottom, admins also have the option to send users an email signature reminder, which provides the signature for them to copy and paste into their email signature settings.
Repeat Push
The Repeat Push feature lets you quickly resend a previous push, with the option to review and update details before sending it again.
Note: A confirmation screen always appears before the push is replayed. You can make edits at this stage and navigate back through the steps if you need to adjust anything.
